A Bird in Hand, Jennifer Terzian Gallery, September 2021

A Bird in Hand is an exhibition of New Haven based artists Jessica Smoliski and Joseph Smolinski. The couple has shared a studio for over twenty years since meeting in graduate school and this will mark their first two-person exhibition together. Many of the works in the exhibition were created at Wassaic Project while participating in a family residency and other works while in lockdown due to the Covid pandemic. The Smolinski family, including their two children, currently share a studio in their backyard and the exhibition draws loosely from their shared daily experiences.
